The strong male voice choir tradition in the Corwen area was re-established when this choir was formed in 1973. It now has 32 members drawn from an area around Corwen in Denbighshire, North Wales.
The choir shares its name with the famous Welsh Prince and leader of the nation in the 15th century, Owain Glyndŵr who drew many of his warriors from the ancient region of Edeyrnion. The choir is based in Corwen, the central town of that region and as you travel on the A5 through the town you will see a magnificent statue of Owain sat on his charger.
Our Musical Director, Ann Atkinson is well known internationally as a professional Mezzo Soprano and she also directs the North Wales International Music Festival, the St. Asaph City of Music Initiative.
The choir works hard within the community for the benefit of local and national charities. 2011 proved to be a particular busy and fullfilling year for us and we look forward to a busy 2012.
Please browse through the various sections of our website for more information about our history, recent and future performances and details of how to contact us. You are most welcomed to come and listen to us rehearse, usually on a Wednesady night. Details of our next rehearsal can be found here.
